Hello Friends and Welcome Back!
With the start of a new month upon us, it feels a little strange not to be sharing a quilt along update. While it's sad to see the quilt along end, I can't wait to see all of your Midnight Circus quilts finally coming together into finished quilt tops!
And, of course, I'm looking forward to getting started on next year's quilt along project soon! But, in the meantime, there is still work to be done around the house!
Over the past weekend, we made some new progress on the sewing studio that I'm excited to share, so let's take a look!
Progress, Progress
After another few weeks of pulling nails and making small, but important adjustments to framing, our windows finally arrived!
And the timing was perfect since this past weekend brought some lovely warm weather, and a nice breeze to keep us from getting too hot while we worked!
This was my first time replacing a window, though I can't say I did a lot to help, but my husband and his Dad have done it before and were really efficient at getting the old windows out and the new ones in!

Above is the old window, you might recognize the picture as an old one from April, and below is our beautiful new one!

We decided to switch the two side windows from a hand crank to a slider, since the cranks tend to break, and can't be easily fixed without replacing the whole window.
And Meara supervised the whole process, from a safe distance of course!

In addition to the sewing studio, we also replaced the windows in the two bedrooms, which means we are just about ready to start putting up drywall!
Friends, it's been so exciting to see this room slowly coming together! Each new nail and board bring us ever closer to a beautiful new sewing space!
However, I'm going to be taking a little time off from renovations this week to visit with family! I'll be doing some sewing with Mom, visiting Grandma and taking her to our guild's final meeting of the year, and attending a quilt show with my sister!
If you've got exciting plans of your own, or thoughts on how our renovations are coming along, please share those in the comments below, by sending me an email, or by sharing your posts with me on Instagram!
There's so much to look forward to between renovations, time with family, and the projects I'll be working on along the way, and I can't wait to get started!
