Another Update

Hello Friends and Welcome Back!
Since injuring my hand a few weeks ago, I haven't managed much progress on any of my projects or goals for the season. And while this is disappointing, I'm trying to remember not to be too hard on myself since injuries happen and they take a lot of time and energy to heal well.
As a little update on that, my hand has healed nicely, the stitches were removed without any incident, and I'm no longer feeling limited in any way!
However, for a few weeks, I avoided sewing because I was worried about straining my hand, reopening the wounds, or possibly getting blood on a project, which would have been a pain to wash out.
Being unable to sew, I decided to send both my sewing machine and serger to my mechanic to have them cleaned and serviced. My machine is finished and my serger is in progress, so I should be able to pick them up pretty soon!
And now that the wounds have closed up and my hand is once again working the way I expect it to, I'm planning to do a little hand piecing on my Ice Cream Soda quilt this afternoon!
Many thanks to all of you for your kind words and patience while I've been absent from the blog and inactive on social media. It's good to know that the Fibre Arts community will always be here!
